Tips for the care and handling of millwork include:

  • Do not expose unpainted millwork to direct sunlight
  • Apply a paint or other finish as soon as possible following the manufacturer’s finishing instructions; light sanding is required prior to finishing
  • Always protect unfinished millwork from moist conditions; never store on the ground, on concrete, or where rain may damage the product
  • All millwork products should be stored horizontally off the floor and in a dry location
  • Millwork products should be acclimated prior to installation
